I've used it in for about 5 years in my current i7-6700K 4.0 GHz and it always runs cool. It's no problem if I need a stronger cooler, but if what I have is sufficient, I'd prefer to make use of it.Īlthough the capability is there, I do not plan to overclock the CPU, so I don't expect the cooler to struggle. I think it's enough because the max CFM rating is the same for both coolers. Is that enough cooler for a 12th gen CPU? It's only rated at 150W TDP, so it's not overly large. I hope CM gets back to you with the correct adapter part number, if it exists. ![]() They list adapters for the current 212 models, but they use a different mounting scheme than the Evo. It's not obvious from the Cooler Master web site, as you say.
